Ok, now that all the controls are done, here's a list of what happens during the game:
- Using Flames of Creation, you can spawn as many troops provided as many Flames as you have. So for example, if you have 20 flames, you can only spawn 20 mobs. If one mob dies, the flame is returned to you to spawn another one.
- Each Horde Base has a different behavior. Every night that dawns, the hordes perform their actions.
- The Horde of the Hunt prefers to attack villages and Wellhouses. If all Villages are occupied by Piglins and there are no Wellhouses. They will upgrade their base or build a new base.
- The Horde of the Spore prefers to build new bases.
- The Horde of the Bastion prefers to upgrade their bases to Large. Once done, they will build another and upgrade that one and rinse and repeat.
- Using this knowledge, if you look at the map and see a red ring around the base, that means they are going to do their action. If a red ring appears on villages, that means that village will be attacked that night, so it’s best to attack the bases that are going to perform actions before nighttime. If the village that is going to be attacked has good defenses, then you don’t need to go help them.
- Minecraft Legends is a real-time game, meaning that pausing your game will not give you a break and you always need to be on the move. If you need a break, you will need to save and quit.
- Piglins are always roaming the world. You will see them almost everywhere and they will not hesitate to attack you. They are even more hostile during night hours.
- Each base you raid has a different layout.
- The Horde of the Hunt bases are all flat ground but have relentless numbers of enemies coming at you.
- The Horde of the Spore bases specializes in high-up tactics that you need ramps to build up to reach, along with mostly ranged troops and Spore Structures.
- The Horde of the Bastion bases specialize in well-defended bases, meaning they have a few layers of walls, gates, and towers. These are best compromised by Redstone Launchers.
- There are question marks on the map. If you go to visit one, it may have some treasure, a First, or a tower for you.
- Depending on how many allays you have, you can‘t gather any more resources until those two Gather Allays are done. It’s the same with Build Allays.
In the massive procedurally generated world of Minecraft Legends, there are lots of resources in the world. The more Gather Allays you have, the faster you can gather them. And the more inventory space you have, the more things you can build. Here are all the things you can gather and where to find them:

| Wood |  | One of the two most common resources. These come from trees (duh!) and you can easily chop them down for some splinters in your pocket. Trees are found in almost every biome except the dry ones. You will need wood for almost everything. |

| Iron |  | Iron is tough and durable, found in savannahs and dry forests. You can use Iron to build Grindstone Golems or some very tough structures to defend villages. |
| Coal |  | Coal. A Minecrafter’s first necessity to save themselves at night. Here, you can use Coal found in Badlands and Meadow Biomes to spawn armies of Creepers or a helpful Kaboomery. |
| Redstone |  | Redstone can only be found in Jungle or Swamp biomes. But will be very helpful for long range combat to build Redstone Launchers to take out bases. Or you can use it to spawn Zombies. |
| Diamond |  | DIAMONDS!! No Diamond Tools for you, though. Diamonds can be found in Jagged Peaks and Tundra Biomes to spawn Skeleton Troops or build some helpful structures. |
| Gold |  | Gold can be rarely dropped by Piglins upon death, but also found from destroying harmless structures in Piglin Bases, which don’t do anything in the Piglin’s favor. Destroying structures like these will grant 10 Gold. |
| Lapis |  | Lapis can only be gotten from Piglin Troops if you kill them. Lapis is needed to spawn troops for you to help you fight the Piglins, so make sure you gather as much as possible. You’ll also need to get a lot of Lapis in a short time to  Feed the Flames. |
| Prismarine |  | Wait, isn’t Prismarine found underwater?! Not in this game. Prismarine is obtained from destroying Piglin Structures. And they can be used to build improvements. See  Variety is the Spice of Life for more info. |
Minecraft Legends boasts a number of troops you can use in your quest to save the Overworld. Here is a list of them, how to obtain them, and their weaknesses:

Like in regular Minecraft, you can build a fair amount of structures to help you defeat bases or defend villages, but they don’t take so long. Each troop, except for the Warrior and Witch, uses a small spawner that you will need to craft to spawn that troop from. Here’s all of them and how to build them:

| Wellhouse |  | One of the best structures you can build. In the event you are travelling far away from a village or the Well of Fate, build a Wellhouse, and when you die, you’ll respawn here instead of back at a village or the Well of Fate. You can also warp here instead. However, this also makes Wellhouses a target for Piglins to destroy at night, so try to place it up high or defend it well. |

| Redstone Launcher |  | The Redstone Launcher is one of the most powerful towers you can use. You can manually aim where to fire and damage, so this is great against Spore and Bastion Bases. If you combine this with other helpful towers, you can make it deal increased damage. However, upon usage, it will cool down, so you may need to bring more than one. |

| Battle Drum |  | A Battle Drum makes all your offensive towers attack faster. Place it near your arrow towers to increase the onslaught of arrows. |
|
| Protector Tower |  | A very helpful tower. Putting this up protects you and your structures from any projectile-based attack, so spike towers can go suck it. Combine this with Carpenter Huts, Masonrys, and Scatter Towers for maximum protection when taking down bases over long distances. |

| Kaboomery |  | Using this structure will help you increase the strength of the surrounding offensive structures in the area. |
|
| Carpenter Hut |  | A Carpenter Hut is helpful for repairing any structures in its radius—walls, Fountains, Arrow Towers, Launchers—you name it. It will fix up all the structures. However, it can’t repair itself, so you will need to repair that with another Carpenter Hut. |

| Arrow Tower |  | A basic Arrow Tower. It shoots arrows at Piglins. Helpful when protecting villages or Well Houses. |
|
| Cauldron |  | Added in the most recent update. TheCauldron gives a buff to units, giving them a damage buff. When units leave the aura, the buff will persist for a short duration. Witches get a big knockback buff when receiving the aura’s effects. |
|
| Masonry |  | The Masonry is really helpful. This upgrades every structure in its radius to become more durable. This means Piglins will spend longer trying to destroy it., which is very helpful on harder difficulties. |
|
But as usual, a game doesn’t exist without enemies. And Minecraft Legends boasts more enemies than troops. So read below on how to counter the Porky Predators. Every enemy can be found roaming in the Overworld unless stated otherwise.

| Mace Runt |  | The weakest enemy in the game. But have strength in numbers. They simply just swing their mace at you to attack. Very weak. These come in 3 colors. |
| Blaze Runt |  | The weakest enemy in the game, alongside the Mace Runt. These piglins will throw blaze rods at you to harm you. These also come in 3 colors. |
| Warboar |  | These horrendous hogs will dash at you and knock you off balance. |
| Spore Medic |  | Only found in Spore Bases. These enemies will heal their allies to continue to pummel you. |
| Piglin Builder |  | These enemies will build new structures in medium or large bases after the ones you’ve destroyed have fallen. |
| Brute |  | A tougher enemy to face. These Piglins deal increased damage to you and your troops. |
| Seeker |  | The Seeker is one of the most deadly minions in the game. They carry an explosive mushroom, and when they see you, a troop, or your building, they will run to you at lightning speed. Upon reaching the target, they will kamikaze into it, dealing massive damage. On higher difficulties, this is enough to kill you in one hit or even your buildings. |
| Sporeback |  | Sporebacks are strong. They throw nether mushrooms at you with lots of AoE damage. They have good aim and are pretty buff. |
| Pigmadillo |  | Only found in Hunt Bases. These are some of the toughest enemies in the game that aren’t bosses. When they see you or your faction, they will roll into a “ball” and roll towards you, knocking you away and dealing damage, as well as being really strong against your buildings. The best way to combat these rolling menaces is to construct large amounts of projectile-based towers and keep luring the Pigmadillo away from the buildings with its roll attack. |
| Portal Guard |  | Only found in Bastion Bases. These enemies are very tough and move very slowly. They can hit large amounts of troops. Your best bet to deal with these pink monsters is to either attack them from afar or use towers to eliminate them. |
| Lava Launcher |  | One of the tankiest enemies in the game. Only found in large bases, or medium on Higher difficulties. These enemies can shoot large magma cubes at you from far away, destroying structures and harming you. They move very slowly. Your best way to combat them is to attack them from afar using Redstone Launchers as using normal enemies isn’t as effective. |
| Piglin Clanger |  | These new enemies have special gongs that stun you and your troops to help their Piglin allies. Only found in medium and large bases. They are incredibly weak to kill, though. |
Apart from the occasional gate and portal you need to destroy every time you visit a base, there are usually a lot of non-living things in a base that will try to stop you. Study how to destroy these structures when going for Are These Made of Nether Wart?.

| Blaze Rod Tower |  | These are the most common towers you will see in Piglin Bases and Outposts. These will fire blaze rods at you and your army to deal fire damage at you. They are relatively weak and easily be destroyed. |
| Piglin Pit |  | Piglin Pits are on a timer and will, over time, spawn more Piglins during the base raid to protect the portal from you and your army. To prevent more unwanted visitors by minimizing resistance, destroy these. |
| Armored Tower |  | The stronger version of the Blaze Rod Tower. These fire multiple blaze rods in one go compared to the Blaze Rod Towers, meaning they can hit more of your troops. They still go down the same way. |
| Nether Spreader |  | Found mostly in Spore Bases. They charge up and release an odor that can damage you and your troops if you are next to one. These are relatively easy to destroy. |
| Piglin Launcher |  | Found in Large bases. These structures will launch Piglin troops to your location. Depending on which base you're in, it varies which Piglins go for a ride. Be careful when utilizing Redstone Launchers. |
| Siegeworks |  | These towers only increase the range of other offensive Piglin structures, like Blaze Rod Towers. Other than that, they easily go down. |
| Spike Tower |  | Behold. It is one of the most annoying structures for “distance-related combat”. If you are far away, these towers will throw spikes at you and your structures that will deal damage and then explode doing more damage. You can use your sword to prevent the spike from doing any more damage. To prevent thorns in your side, you may want to destroy these or use Protector Towersto protect your Redstone Launchers. |
| Spore Tower |  | A much tougher variant of the Nether Spreader. They release a way wider area of odor when they attack and deal more damage. |
| Terror Horn |  | These horns alert the Piglins of your arrival. They can also spread netherrack to prevent you from building more structures. However, they are super easy to destroy. |
| Patcher |  | The Patcher is the Piglin version of the Carpenter Hut that they use to heal their structures. Make sure to take the “eal” from the Patchers and bring the “urt” to these buildings. |
| Lava Coil |  | Only found in Medium or Large bases, appearing in groups of 3. The Piglins will utilize these to make the portal invincible until you destroy them. Destroying all 3 will make the portal destroyable. They also have a serious bug attached to them, so read below. |
| Piglin Air Chopper |  | By far the most annoying structure in the game. Air Choppers will blow you and your troops a far distance away from it; your troops can fly very, very far away, so these are very hard to get rid of. Your best bet is to use Redstone Launchers from afar to destroy these fans. |
Minecraft Legends isn’t exactly the most solid game. The game has a few issues that can halt or even put an end to your progress, forcing you to restart.
Here is a list of glitches to be warned about:
- Lava Coil Bug.The most infamous of the Minecraft Legends glitches. Tackling any base with Lava Coils will present a problem. Upon destroying all 3, there is a chance that the portal will not lose its invincibility. If that happens, unless you quit the game and are able to reload the save before you tackled the base. You are automatically f*****. This can happen to anyone and there is no other resolution for it. You will pretty much have to restart your progress in a new world. This is an issue that has been with the game since its launch and has not and will not be fixed.
- Crashes and Corruptions.The second most common issue with the game is that the game can experience crashes when playing. This is most common on PS4 and on Legendary difficulty. And if the game crashes, then your world is most likely gone and inaccessible forever. This is because if your game crashes, the world you were playing on has become corrupted.
- The Beast Floorclipping.During The Beast boss fight, there is a chance it can clip under the ground. This is caused randomly, with no way to prevent it. Waiting until the next night for it to despawn won’t fix anything and may force you to restart your progress.
- Lag.Whilst not a save-wiping issue, this can indeed slow down your progress. There are many, many times when the game will just lag and nothing will work for a few moments, even in singleplayer. Despite playing alone, your game can still lag. It’s even worse in multiplayer. Troops will not move or attack and will be stuck in place, while enemies will have infinite health and structures can’t be damaged. If you try to move, the game will force you back into your prior spot. This can happen for only a few seconds or even a few minutes.
- Long Loading Screens.There is also the chance that the loading screen to your own world won’t work properly and you can spend up to half an hour waiting just to enter your world.
And whatever else can stop you will only add to the time taken to get the Platinum. The only recommendation for the save-wiping issues is to make a backup save of the game using a USB, or if you’re a PS Plus Subscriber, upload a save to the cloud each time you quit out of the game or tackle a base.
- When engaging long-distance combat with Redstone Launchers, use Battle Drums, Spyglass Overlooks, and Kaboomerys to enhance its strength. Also use Protector Towers, Carpenter Huts, Masonrys, and Scatter Towers to protect all this stuff from being destroyed by Piglins.
- When you have buildings used during a base raid and you've finished, don’t leave them there. Instead, use a Carpenter Hut to restore them to full health, then dismantle them all for a full refund on resources.
- For very weak enemies such as runts, use your sword to knock them back and out of the way.
- Using Creepers to take out bases is a good way to handle them. If you have 20 or more Creepers, you can charge straight to the portal and instantly destroy it.
- Tackle Outposts for a quick fill of Prismarine and Gold.
- The types of Improvements you should get are the ones that increase your storage or give you more allays.
- Be sure to visit free villages to get some free resources.
- Bases cannot expand or upgrade if you are attacking them. If you destroy the portal, you will successfully stop their plans. If you leave, their upgrade/expansion will be successful.
- Occasionally, when Piglins are going to upgrade or expand, they may make an error doing so, damaging their own base. This makes it easier for you to take on the base.
- You can climb over certain structures. But your troops can’t. So, don’t be surprised if you accidentally leave them behind.
