1. Lo-Fi Vintage
Whether you’ve been inside Lo-Fi or not, you probably know the store. A quick scroll through your Instagram feed will likely show a number of photos of friends posing in front of store front’s graffitied facade on Westheimer.
Those in the know, however, are keen to the fact that Lo-Fi features killer ’90s streetwear as well as some of the best vintage sportswear in Houston. Speaking from personal experience, Lo-Fi is a go-to around the holiday season where its selection of vintage jerseys, apparel, and memorabilia are perfect for sports-loving family members. Anyone can buy a new Rockets jersey, but coming across a vintage beauty is few and far between.

2. Leopard Lounge
Spot the leopard-spotted thrift shop on Westheimer. Here, you can get your groove on across decades of fashion. Trip through the ’40s to the ’90s off their racks filled with old concert tees, fringe leather jackets, and other vintage gems.

Parked next door to Leopard Lounge, Pavement carries a hand-curated array of vintage second-hand clothing. Stop in for a spell and sift through their selection of throwback sweatshirts, band tees, Western boots and other kicks. Don’t forget to peak into the $5 room for other vintage wares.

4. My Flaming Heart
My Flaming Heart is a tiny crystal palace in Midtown brimming with all sorts of lovable oddities, cowboy boots, vintage and modern art pieces. In addition, thrifters can take a gander at jewelry, charms, psychedelic wares, and all the trinkets under the moon. Plus, if you’re in the market for an amputated doll head – My Flaming Heart probably has a few on hand.

Buffalo Exchange is perhaps one of the trendiest thrift shop in Houston. Here, thrifters can find a hip selection of retro clothing largely from the ’90s and early ’00s. Prices might be a little suspect at times – what with their particular curation of their clothes, shoes, and jewelry – but will that stop you from buying the tweed jacket, high waist jeans, and grunge tee shirt ensemble… who’s to say? If you’re looking to sell some of your own clothes, we recommend scheduling an appointment so you can avoid lines.
